Pustovyi’s still the best blocker in Spain

The ProTeamUA star Artem Pustovyi showed the good defensive performance in the recent ACB championship game.

Despite Obradoiro lost to Burgos, 77-86, Pustovyi scored 10 points, added 6 rebounds and 4 blocks.

By now he is the best stopper in the ACB with 2,4 blocks per game.

Sensational loss for the champion

The defending champion of the Ukrainian Superleague, Budivelnyk have finished their reign after a sensational loss in the first round of the playoffs.

Budivelnyk were swept by MBC Mykolaiv in the two games encounter. This is the first time the reigning champion fell so early since 2011 when Azovmash were defeated by Ferro ZNTU. For Budivelnyk failed to reach semifinals for the first time since 2006.

In another pairings Dnipro beat Zaporizhya, Khimik – Bipa Odessa and Cherkaski Mavpy swept away Polytechnic Kharkiv.

The semifinals pairings look as follows:

Dnipro – Khimik, Mavpy – Mykolaiv.

They will take start on April 10.

Ukrainian Superleague playoffs underway

Budivelnyk will miss top team status as they failed to finish at list on the second position in the regular championship.

So, despite win over Khimik, Kyiv side set on the third position.

The playoffs pairings are as a follows:

Dnipro – BC Zaporizhya

Cherkaski Mavpy – Polytechnic Kharkiv

Budivelnyk – MBC Mykolaiv

Khimik – Bipa Odessa

The first leg games will be played on the 29th of March.

Pustovyi good, Obradoiro fell to Barca

Obradoiro fought well but couldn’t manage Barcelona in the recent ACB game. They lost 73-76.

The Proteamua star Artem Pustovyi scored 9 points and added 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks in 18 minutes.

Denys Lukashov had just 12 minutes and finished with 3 assists.

Last Friday Ukraine beat Latvia.
